Alpine Modern is a boutique cafe located in Boulder, Colorado with two locations. We serve specialty coffee and a limited menu of thoughtfully prepared food in a remarkable environment.

We are seeking a full-time General Manager to oversee and lead our Pearl Street location in Boulder, Colorado. The right candidate will have strong leadership skills and 1+ years of experience as a Store Manager, General Manager or relevant management role.

OVERVIEW
The Store Manager is responsible for exemplifying and upholding the mission, values, and standards of Alpine Modern. They are directly responsible for all aspects of successfully operating an Alpine Modern location. This includes ensuring the execution of world-class guest service, environment, food and beverage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knows and enforces all Alpine Modern standards, practices and policies at all times
Embodies and models the behaviors and practices that make Alpine Modern a world class hospitality brand
Is trained and capable of working all positions within the restaurant
Executes administrative duties associated with running the store including operating a variety of software platforms that require technical savvy.
Maintains excellent and thorough communication within the store and organization
Staff Management
Responsible for all hiring, onboarding, training and terminations
Fosters a positive work environment where all staff members are empowered to succeed
Responsible for staff scheduling and maintaining labor spend as directed
Actively monitors and manages staff performance by providing consistent positive or constructive feedback. Utilizes progressive discipline to achieve results when required
Conducts staff performance reviews
Addresses staff concerns in a timely and professional manner with active follow up until resolution
Organizes team and departmental meetings
Product
Ensures recipes are made to standards
Ensures product quality remains exceedly high
Maintains and enforces the highest standards of food safety
Actively monitors food costs to ensure food spend is within the limits defined by the company
Actively controls food and beverage waste
As directed, assists with new product rollout
Inventory, Ordering and Purveyor Management
Is responsible for all inventory and ordering for the store
Orders supplies, equipment and other items as needed
Store Environment and Facilities Management
Maintains and enforces exacting standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility
Ensures store environment is to standards. This includes actively managing factors like temperature, lighting and music selection.
Manages facility and equipment maintenance

Part Time Team Member

Alpine Modern is a boutique cafe with two locations in Boulder. 

Our Pearl Street location is seeking to fill a part-time Team Member position.

You will be the face of the cafe, so proven exceptional hospitality and customer service skills are what we are looking for! Additionally, you'll be responsible for preparing food by making our lineup of toasts and bowls. 

Open availability is preferred, but you must be available Saturday and Sundays.  

Requirements

Excellent communication and customer service skills!

Must be clean and organized, work well in high energy, fast-paced environments. Team player with a can-do attitude. Strong attention to detail and excellent quality control skills. Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy,  ability to see things that need to get done and jump in to get them done. Focus on quality and keep a positive and professional attitude at all times.  


Compensation

$10.25 per hour plus between $5-$7 per hour in tips.

Part Time Team Member: Dining Room & Cashier

Part-time

Alpine Modern is a boutique cafe in Boulder Colorado with two locations. 

We are looking for an individual who enjoys being on their feet and serving as a critical player on our team. We are seeking to fill a dual role of guest service in our dining room and food preparation. 

In this role you'll be responsible for filling two types of shifts: 

1. Runner: Run food to customers, tend to cafe cleanliness and wash dishes  

2. Cashier: Be the face of the cafe by taking orders, engaging guests and providing excellent service.

Job Type & Availability Requirements 

Part-Time position Thursday, Friday, Saturday Availability is required. 

Preference is given to those that have open and flexible work availability. 

Essential skills

  • Enjoys working on your feet and running point on keeping operations running smoothly by 
    • Running food to guests from the kitchen
    • Bussing and cleaning tables

HOURS Full time (5 days, 40+ hours per week, open and flexible availability required)

Preference is given to those that have experience as a barista. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Appropriately models 
    • Connecting with customers 
    • Upholding exceptional food and beverage quality standards

  • Is trained and capable of working all positions within the Cafe 
  • Executes administrative duties associated with supervising the store as directed by the Store Manager
  • Maintains excellent and thorough communication with the Store Manager and team
  • Anticipates and responds to store needs by continually evaluating the store environment 
  • Responds to customer inquiries and issues 
  • Is responsible for training staff as directed by the Store Manager
  • Assists with the rollout of new drinks, procedures and processes

  • Is able to coach team members with respect and positive encouragement
