 Looking for Experienced Banquet Chef for high volume resort in West Michigan. Must be able to handle multiple events at the same time. Must have great people skills and ability to manage a diverse Kitchen. Excellent opportunity to put your own mark in South West Michigan!
- It is the responsibility of the Banquet Chef to prepare foods for service according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- Manages the Banquet Kitchen team to include efficient staffing, employee development and training, performance management and policy enforcement.
- Maintains clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas at all times in accordance with state and local sanitation requirements and codes.
- Develops strategies for increasing sales and profitability within management scope.
- Experience in multi-tasking of projects and project management.
- Basic Administrative computer skills.
- Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
- Strong problem solving and listening skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to function and act independently.
- Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral.
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
