Snap Taco is a festive taco spot bringing quick and tasty eats and drinks to the people in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz. We're inspired by flavors found on planet earth, turning fresh, local and sustainable ingredients into new school tacos. Oh Snap! Great for a quick bite, a gathering with friends or the whole family. Our mantra: eat tacos, be happy.

We operate a full bar program with clever cocktails and other inventive beverages for all ages. We aim to be fast, but we are not fast food. We're focused on making the experience fun and welcoming for everyone.

The Head Bartender purpose is to support the overall goal of a fantastic guest experience at Snap Taco through leadership of the bar operations and bar program. The Head Bartender directs the organization, inventory, implementation and execution of beverage related goods and operates the Snap Taco beverage program through approved systems and concepts. The Head Bartender sets the example for other bar staff, maintaining a calm and approachable demeanor and posture at all times. They have an all-encompassing understanding of the Snap Taco offerings including recipes, ingredients, place of origin, preparation methods, flavor profiles and status regarding common food allergies. All bartenders, including the Head Bartender, make appropriate beverage recommendations and articulate beverage details in a clear, informative, appealing manner.

Head Bartender candidates should be experienced and familiar with craft cocktails, and should share our passion for the producers, farmers and sustainable efforts that are at the core of our food and beverage program. Candidates must be excited to learn and to share with our staff and our guests.


  • Experience in a high volume establishment
